We’re seeking a Kubernetes and DevSecOps Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical ICAM platform where innovation, collaboration, and technical depth are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll wear many hats—from managing Kubernetes clusters to supporting DevSecOps pipelines, cloud technologies, and system architecture design. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving complex integration puzzles, and have a passion for building and maintaining cutting-edge platforms, this is your opportunity to make a direct impact.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include:
  • Manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters across multiple environments using Rancher

  • Provide guidance to internal teams and external users on K8s, Rancher, and related DevSecOps technologies
  • Serve as a secondary lead for DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure initiatives
  • Support the AdmitIT ICAM platform by collaborating with capability teams, defining requirements, and maintaining architecture/design documentation
  • Offer hands-on assistance with software installation, configuration management, and system performance tuning
  • Help develop release notes, user guides, installation instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ICAM services
  • Collaborate with development and test teams to define requirements, assist with sprint planning, and support testing efforts
  • Support RMF/DoD accreditation documentation and provide technical input on cloud security architecture
  • Contribute to system architecture development, technology assessments, and platform improvements with a focus on scalability and reliability
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline + 5 years of experience
    • OR 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Rancher for cluster management
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud environments (especially AWS)
  • Strong understanding of system configurations, troubleshooting, and installation processes
  • Proficiency with tools/technologies such as Java, SpringBoot, Docker, Elasticsearch, GitLab CI/CD, REST, JSON, XML, Linux, Node.js
  • Working knowledge of databases like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of PKI, TLS/SSL certificates, and secure communications
  • Comfortable working across cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • Ability to define and solve complex system/integration challenges
  • Experience briefing senior stakeholders and leadership
  • Proven track record in requirements analysis, functional allocation, and system design
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI standards
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment supporting simultaneous software deployments
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead meetings and contribute across disciplines
  • Self-starter with a high degree of organization and adaptability
